RSKQuiz (rskquiz.com) is a free, unofficial fan trivia game about Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington. This page explains what information is used when you play and why.
What we store on your device
There are no accounts. Your player name, points, badges, high scores, the questions you've already seen and your sound setting are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so the game can remember them. Apart from the leaderboard entry described below, this data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for rskquiz.com.
The leaderboard
When you finish a round, the game sends your player name (or "A little fella" if you haven't set one), the round, your points, how many you got right, your time, the date, and a random ID your browser makes up so your best scores can be grouped together. These are stored on our server and shown on the public leaderboard. Don't use your real full name if you'd rather not be shown. We don't store your IP address: to stop people flooding the leaderboard we keep a scrambled code made from it, which can't be turned back into the address and is deleted after a day. To have a score removed, email us.
Challenge links
When you share a challenge link, the link itself contains the round, the question list, the name you entered and your score, so your friend can play the same questions. Only share it with people you're happy to see that.
Messages and problem reports
If you use the Contact form or "Report a problem", what you write, the name and email address you give (email is optional for reports), and the details of the question you're reporting are sent to us by email through the FormSubmit service (formsubmit.co). We use your email address only to reply to you. We don't add it to any mailing list or share it.
Advertising and cookies
RSKQuiz may show ads served by Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads or cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.
Visitor counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store anything on your device and doesn't follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as the number of visits per day and the countries and types of device they come from.
Other services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website, these providers receive your IP address and basic browser information when your browser downloads files from them.
Children
RSKQuiz is aimed at adult fans of the shows and isn't directed at children under 13.
